Shouting at Weather Orange 2022

Made from 100% Phoenix grapes for 2022. As a hybrid variety Phoenix offers disease resistance which helps to lower spray usage.

Phoenix grapes were picked on the 1st October 2022. The grapes were sourced from a conventional vineyard in Stoke Edith, Herefordshire 

On arrival at the winery the grapes were sorted and then 80% crushed into steel tanks with the remaining 20% added as whole bunches to start semi carbonic maceration. This helps to give the wine a more forward fruit style. After 4 weeks the fermentation was nearing completion, wine was pressed into old oak barrels where it was allowed to finish fermenting and left to age.

After 18 months in barrel the wine bottled with no additions
